Digital Solution for Education in Africa
8 regional exchange events were used by Ministries and civil society organisations to share lessons learned and to create a network. More than 500.000 learners and education professionals have taken part in measures to improve digital skills. Through training for teachers, these newly acquired skills will be anchored in the education system, preparing more and more children and young adults for the digital future. A total of 49 digital solutions have been developed. Examples are teacher trainings, strategy papers in inclusive digital education, radio and TV lessons, phone-based tutoring, and platform development for digital education material. 19 Projects (5 projects Ministries and 14 Civil society organisations) were supported, reaching more than 3.5 million learners and educational professionals overall. 8 African partner countries: Botswana, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Madagascar, Malawi, Namibia, Rwanda, and Zambia. 2. – 5 – Digital Solutions for Education in Africa Key Figures
